Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
Every year, I write this letter to summarize a year’s worth of conversations with our clients, employees, world leaders, CEOs, and retirement investors. Lately, regardless of who they are, everyone seems to be saying the same thing: "We are not sure how to navigate this current environment."
This uncertainty is not unusual. We are living through a transformative era where events that used to define an entire decade have now become part of our daily reality:
Too often, we judge everything through a short-term lens. Daily market fluctuations are frequently misinterpreted as signs of permanent structural change. In this fast-paced world of information, our reactions have become instantaneous. However, this hyper-speed erodes our foresight and overshadows long-term strategic thinking.
A Core Truth: Short-term activities have their place in financial markets—they absorb new information and price in risk. But over time, staying invested is far more critical than trying to time the market.
The fundamental crisis we face today is the fracturing of the old model of global capitalism. Nations are spending massive amounts of capital to achieve self-reliance in energy, defense, and technology.
Meanwhile, the lion's share of global wealth has accumulated in the hands of asset owners, rather than the hardworking individuals earning wages.
The world is shifting toward self-reliance, an shift that comes with an immense price tag. Over the last few generations, wealth creation has largely favored financial asset owners. Now, AI threatens to exacerbate this disparity. If we want everyday citizens to have a stake in future growth, we must make long-term investing easier, more accessible, and democratic for everyone.
Different countries are tackling this challenge in unique ways:
At W1000X, we believe that every individual deserves the right to be a shareholder in their country’s economic growth. Today, we proudly serve clients across more than 47 countries. Our core mission centers on three pillars:
Over the past year, we have achieved unprecedented success in realizing these goals, and we remain steadfast in maintaining this momentum moving forward.
In closing, I want to express my deepest gratitude to all my colleagues at W1000X and to our esteemed clients. When we founded this company six years ago, our primary mission was to bring the finest talent in the financial sector together under one roof. We achieved that. The joy of working alongside you for the past six years is what drives and inspires me every single day.
To our clients: Entrusting us with your capital and your future is a sacred responsibility—one that we never take lightly. Serving you is our greatest privilege and honor.
Sincerely,
J.Joseph Perella
